World’s Largest Arabian Horse Show Gallops Back to Scottsdale for 71st Annual Event in 2026

Arabian horse lovers are getting ready to trot back into WestWorld as the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show returns to town February 12–22, 2026, bringing with it world-class competition, family fun, and a serious economic boost for the community.

A Scottsdale tradition enters its 71st year

Now in its 71st year, the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show is widely recognized as the world’s largest Arabian horse showcase, drawing top equestrians, trainers, and horses from around the globe. Nearly 2,000 horses are expected to compete over the 11-day event, vying for more than $1 million in prize money in classes that highlight the Arabian breed’s trademark versatility, beauty, and athleticism.

WestWorld of Scottsdale (16601 N. Pima Road) will host the show each day starting at 8 a.m., transforming the venue into a hub for horse enthusiasts, casual spectators, and families looking for an only-in-Scottsdale experience.

What’s new and what’s back for 2026

Organizers with the Arabian Horse Association of Arizona (AHAA) are promising an “unforgettable experience,” blending fan-favorite attractions with new offerings designed to grow the sport and welcome newcomers.

  • The immersive hands-on experience returns in 2026, giving attendees the chance to learn about Arabians, touch and even ride horses, dress up, and take photos, all hosted by AHAA’s Amateur Committee and included with event admission.
  • A new West Coast Sport Horse Championships will debut at the show, offering elevated recognition for the fast-growing Sport Horse division.
  • The event will also mark the fifth annual National Arabian Horse Day on February 19 with special activities planned on-site.

Scholarships and community impact

Beyond the arena, the show continues to invest in the next generation of riders and the broader community.

  • New for 2026, AHAA is adding two $3,000 scholarships through its education trust for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors who compete in at least one Junior to Ride class at the Scottsdale show.
  • Applicants must complete 10 hours of community service, secure a recommendation from an approved Arabian Horse Association representative, and submit a short essay about their connection to Arabians, community involvement, financial need, and future goals in the breed.
  • Scholarship funds can be held for up to five years and are paid directly to accredited institutions to cover tuition, books, or related educational expenses.

Each year, AHAA also selects local charities to benefit from show-related proceeds, with past beneficiaries including Healing Hearts Animal Rescue and Refuge, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Scottsdale Community College’s Equine Science program, Youth for Troops, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, and Make-A-Wish Arizona, among others.

Tickets, theme days, and family nights

Organizers are keeping the event accessible while offering special theme days to welcome different segments of the community.

  • General admission: $15.
  • Seniors: $10.
  • Children 17 and under: Free.
  • An all-show pass: $75 for general admission for all 11 days.
