Celebrate 10 Years Of Dance, Music and Hispanic Culture at Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ’s Anniversary Showcase on Saturday, June 16th in Chandler

Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ (BFQ-AZ) under the direction of Vanessa Ramirez, is celebrating 10 years of culture and tradition on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Chandler Center for the Arts.  Come along as BFQ-AZ takes a dynamic musical journey through Mexico by way of dance music accompanied by special guests, Mariachi Sonido de Mexico, and Banda Sinaloense La Llega Finix. Tickets are just $15 per person, online. The show will start at 6 p.m. with a wide variety of student dance performances.

Ramirez first opened her dance studio ten years ago with the hopes of teaching traditional Mexican dance to the children of her friends, family and even her own daughter. She had no idea the impact she’d make on the community and speed at which her business would grow.

“When I first started 10 years ago, I had just six students and today we have over 100 dance students! We offer more classes, performances and opportunities to expand our students’ knowledge of Mexican culture. It’s been an amazing experience for our student, families and community,” said Vanessa Ramirez, director, Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ.

In addition to dance, students at Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ participate in cultural education projects that help to build public speaking skills, confidence, poise and appreciation for the Hispanic culture. About Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ

Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ, Inc is a 501(c)(3) organization celebrating the colorful tradition of Mexican folkloric dance. Led by an experienced dancer, Vanessa Ramirez, the group began as a recreational class.  As one of very few East Valley folklorico groups currently operating, interest in the dance troupe has grown rapidly from just six students in June of 2008 to more than 100 currently. Students range in age from four-years-old to adult whom enjoy expressing themselves through dance and learn about Hispanic heritage. Stop by and enjoy the beautiful mural created by the students with the help of muralist Lonnie Anderson.  The studio is located on the NWC of Dobson and Elliot.
