This V-6 go-to -truck for outdoor sports is well equipped for off road fun with a multi-terrain select system that allows you to drive from mud to sand, to slick rock what it does is alter’s the Tacomas throttle and braking to aid in traction. It also has an electronic limited -slip and locking rear differential, hill -start assist, and crawl control, which takes over the brakes and throttle from 1-5 mph in off-road driving, allowing you to steer around obstacles. I took the Tacoma on a drive to Saguaro Lake its a trooper takes the hills, curves and terrain with ease.
The Tacoma takes it all you can throw at it can tow up to 6,000 pounds and haul 1,620. Its spacouse cargo space allowed me to transport cases of water to help with a local water drive to help make sure the homeless are hydrated in the high Arizona temperatures.
Its long bed has a 120 Volt deck mounted AC power outlet and deck rail system to help when your are transporting cargo with tie-down points.
What about Safety? The Tacoma includes four wheel anti-lock brakes with brake assist and electronic brake force distribution, traction stability control and off road manual transmission, A-TRAC traction control system also has eight standard airbags, knee airbags for driver and front passenger, blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert and rear parking assist.
Fuel efficiency not my favorite as it burns fuel quite quickly. Gas milage gives you 18 mpg in city and 23 in highway.
Over all the Tacoma is a great mid-size truck will assist in you anything you throw at it and take you on the most amazing adventures.
