I’ve always wanted to explore more of Northern Arizona’s beautiful scenic routes and what better way than on the beautiful 2016 Toyota 4 Runner 4×4 Trail Premium which was the perfect vehicle for my trip!
The Toyota 4 Runner in its Barcelona red catches your eye and its rear-wheel -drive layout, a body on frame platform, ample ground clearance,Nitto all terrain tires, TRD front springs as well as TRD trim and badging, mouthy grill and the cool awesome feature you can lower the liftgate window you know you can embark on your adventure trip in this top selling cross-over SUV through any rugged terrain.
The interior of the 4 Runner is beautiful , power driver seat, power tilt/slide moonroof ,audio system with satellite radio, Entune multimedia , connected smartphone navigation. 2nd row vent and in the spacious cargo area a sliding ( yes, a sliding) cargo deck that helps you to load heavy items with ease or more space for camping in the back.
So off I went , my first stop in my destination is the unique town of Payson, Arizona located ninety miles from Phoenix in the heart of Arizona’s Rim Country, my second destination the Mogollon Rim that is the southern boundary of the Colorado Plateau and lies north of Payson. It’s a breathtaking view of canyons and ponderosa pine forest. The clouds appear so low you feel you can just reach and touch them. I understood at that moment why people call it God’s Country.
It’s a very curvy road and all safety features came in very handy like the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System, using hydraulics to add stability on the road allowed the 4Runner to take every curve with ease. Its eight airbags ( including side curtains) and rear view camera, vehicle stability control, traction control, anti-lock brakes system with EBD, brake assist and smart start technology the 4Runner is keeping you safe.
The drive was beautiful thanks to the 4 Runners smooth and silent ride and ample windows that allow you to take in the beauty of what some call God’s Country the road from the from the Rim to the town of Showlow ( an elevation of 6,345 feet) and my final destination.
I truly enjoyed driving through my state’s heartland and wide expanses of nature on the 4 Runner.
