2023 Lexus UXh F Sport: Is a fun, exciting hatchback

When I lived in downtown Phoenix, the 2023 Lexus UX Hybrid F Sport would have been the perfect vehicle for me. I lived on the 12th floor, with a great view of the Metro Phoenix area in all its splendor. Parking was so tight that the spaces hurt like a new pair of shoes. But we must remember there is a cost to being the boss. Flash forward a few years, and I now live in the suburbs. But one thing hasn’t changed: The UX h is a fun, exciting hatchback that looks, feels, and handles like a compact SUV thanks to its hybrid powertrain that delivers a surprising 41 city/38 highway MPG.

Lexus has updated the 2023 UX Hybrid chassis and suspension for improved handling and ride quality. A new F Sport package and an improved infotainment interface with voice assistance and over-the-air updates are now available. And Halleluiah, the UX now features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. An 8-inch touchscreen display is standard, but like in Texas, everything is bigger when you opt for the 12.3-inch screen. New and improved, the UX is now bigger and better, too. Everything is within reach, and thankfully, the pesky but useless console-mounted touchpad has been eliminated. And, like in Texas, we can get behind that with a full-throated Yee-haw!
