2025 Nissan Armada Pro-4x: Holding out for a Hero

The 2025 Nissan Armada arrives in a barren desert. Nissan’s woes are no secret. The automaker is in crisis. Lack of innovation and a failed multicultural marketing campaign have contributed to failing sales.
Arriving in the wild west this week is the 2025 Nissan Armada for us to test/review.
The 2025 Nissan Armada is a full-size luxury SUV that’s undergone a refresh and now comes with a powerful V8 engine instead of the older V6. It’s bigger than before, boasting an increase in height and 4 inches added to its width. While sturdy and robust, the exterior design doesn’t stand out with any noteworthy features.
When you open the door, you’re greeted by a lovely surprise: a dual 14.3-inch dashboard comes to life, making the cabin feel modern and inviting. The front seats are incredibly comfortable—think diamond quilted, double-stitched leather with excellent lumbar support. After a challenging sculpted yoga class, sinking into those seats feels like a well-deserved treat.
And let’s not forget about the impressive 12-speaker Klipsch stereo system on the second screen. It has a navigation system, Bluetooth, voice recognition, and real-time traffic and weather updates. Plus, you have a Wi-Fi hotspot and wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
For 2025, the Armada takes it further with built-in Google Assistant, Google Maps, the Google Play Store, and Alexa—all designed to make your drive even more convenient and enjoyable.
Speaking of driving, it’s an enjoyable experience thanks to the Adaptive Electronic Air Suspension, which helps optimize ride comfort and handling. Even though it’s 6,000 pounds, it does not feel like it. It’s very spacious, a feature outdoor adventurers will appreciate.
I was taken aback by the sticker price—it starts at $73,740! Once you add the Pro-4X premium package, the total shoots up to $81,980.
Still the Armada is $32,000 less than its cousin the Infiniti QX80.
